update: I made some modifications to this brace and now it works perfectly. Since I couldn't get it back, I decided to try it myself. I removed the silicone gel knee piece. What was attached very well took some work but I took it off. Now that I've done that, I can wear it without causing knee pain. And land in it. It's basically a knee pad now with plastic inserts on the sides (which I could easily swap out if I needed that too). I'm glad I can at least use this thing now. So I upgraded it from 2 to 3 stars. But I couldn't use it out of the box. And if I had to do it all over again, I'd spend my $30 on different braces. The gel piece just did NOT fit my knee properly. Original Review: I've had tendonitis in my knee for a while. Try to get more active again. And I've been in physical therapy for a few weeks. My physical therapist recommended that I put on a knee brace because after 10 minutes of walking my knee is sore and tight. So I was looking for something to support my knee while walking. Unfortunately, it didn't fit me properly, even though I measured myself according to her instructions. My kneecap was hard and painful. So that alone was a huge problem. (My knees and feet aren't swollen. But I do have what you would call knotty knees.) Once I managed to get it fully on, I found it was pressing on the top of my kneecap. I move my kneecap down. No matter how I try to position the gel pad. It was very uncomfortable and felt. not right. Mobility: I could NOT crouch with it. There are "supports" made of hard plastic on the sides. Based on feedback from others, I assumed I would still have some room to maneuver. For example, the ability to partially crouch to remove pots from the bottom shelf. But not in my case. It seems well made and of decent quality, it just doesn't work for me. It has no right of return. So I'm stuck with that. That's my biggest complaint.
