Hub works well with new 14โ€ MacBook Pro M1

I use this hub with a new 14 inch power book with M1 chip. This Mac does have three USB-C ports, an HDMI port and a SD card slot. I wanted to be able to connect my devices with USB A plugs. I use a WD My Passport Wireless Pro portable drive to download and back up SD cards during photo shoots in the field. When I get back to my computer I need to attach the drive by cable, not the slow WiFi. I had tried simple USB A to USB C adapters and also a specific cable to go from the USB port on this drive to a USB C port on the MacBook Pro. The drive would start charging but would not mount as a drive. This hub solved the problem. Plugging the driveโ€™s cable into one of the hubโ€™s USB 3, type A slots works well. The drive mounts on the computer and maintains a high rate of speed. I also use both the SB card slot and the TF card slot for the smaller card from my drone.I feel that the price is very fair and the construction is solid. I had previously purchased a different brand hub for my wife to use with her new MacBook Air M1. That hub actually cost more and doesnโ€™t seem to be as well built. All in all I am very satisfied with this hub.
