Works great! Though I ended up taking my dog on a longer walk as a result, and then he got hot and started running from shade tree to shade tree, practically begging me to stop, but we had to get back home and the only way to do so was continue on, through the hot, barren wastes of our neighborhood, and afterward he lay on the cold tile floor panting for what seemed like ever, and I worried I was going to have to take him to the vet because he was so dehydrated (I should have taken some water with me--maybe an upgrade to the leash could have a built-in waterbottle?), but then I put an ice pack on him and he was okay, only now he kinda gives the leash a side-eye whenever I bring it out. Five stars.
