It's not very heavy, doesn't feel very strong. It's a little awkward to hold with the bags attached to the handle. And I haven't been able to detach the bag holder, which I don't use very often. It has been yanked out of my hand by my Doberman once, which has not happened with my other leash. But honestly, this is my backup leash I leave in the car if I don't have my original one with me. Would work better for a small dog I think. I'm afraid if I dropped it, it might break in half.

So far, so good! The leash is very streamlined and feels/looks like a true quality construction! Bought the Large 'cos our 'Boy' even though a medium sized Bijon Terrier, is super-active and very muscular.so the large works well for him; word of caution though, this Large Beastron is indeed a "Heavy" Beast which I love! Very nice leash. I have had several retractable leashes-this one is a little bulkier but not really heavier than my last one but it seems very sturdy and I don't think it will be breaking any time soon. The detachable bag holder is nice too and I can remove it easily if I want to. I haven't looked into where I can get the refill bags but they can't be too hard to find. Overall its a nice sturdy product and my dog and I are happy with it.

This was my favorite brand, until they changed quality. This leash lasted me so long, but someone ran it over with their car, therefore I had to buy a new one and it was not the same quality. This is like dollar store quality, they even changed the packaging to be cheaper.

I only have one minor issue with this retractable leash and that is the Lock Button. The button is level with the base but has little bumps to aid in pushing the. Utton to lock the leash in place. My thumb justs slides over the bumps instead of pushing the button into the lock position. I have to try at least three or four times to get the lock button to lock in place. I bought this about a month ago to have a backup to the original model as our 23 lbs terrier likes to chase squirrels and hits the end of the cord which is starting to stretch. This has an improved softer texture on the handle that is a bit more comfortable so the original is now the backup. I’ll update the review once one of them actually breaks. So far, so good.

This is a very good leash. I like that it has doggy bags attached so I don’t have to worry about forgetting them. It’s easy to lock and use. The only problem I’ve noticed is that when I jog the plastic container holding the doggy bags make a loud knocking sound. I also like the color. It’s a bright blue.

This is a pretty good leash but it is a little big for my hand (and i am not a small woman) and a little heavy. Since it is larger than i am used to, the lock is not as easy to reach for me. When it said 'Heavy Duty' i thought it meant sturdy, which it is. I maybe should have gotten a smaller size - it is so hard to determine when you purchase online. Overall, though, this is a pretty good leash. i walk an 18-lb Shih Tzu.he's not much of a challenge for this leash.

This leash is easy to hold and lightweight. It is also very easy to lock compared to the last one I owned. The only thing I didn't like is how much noise the doggy poo bag holder makes when it is attached. However, that doesn't impact the functionality of the actual leash.
