Bought this for work. I even used it as a practice tool for a short time until I realized it read 550 megohms at 528VDC when testing a motor. Realizing that this couldn't be a good read, I tried swapping the wires, checked the wires for continuity to make sure they were fine for what they were, and tested it on a piece of wire (essentially a short ) and sure enough , 550 megohms. and 528 volts DC. I've only had this thing a few months and was very disappointed with this scenario so I called Fluke who had a hard time believing they had a problem with one of the gauges but I said they had mine on Zero accurate readings mixed up and they let me send them. However, I had to pay for shipping and insurance for the review, which cost another $50+. I watched a few YouTube videos before using them and found that many of these guys were getting the same 550 megohm readings as me and couldn't figure out why. I went back and told them they probably have the same broken megger as me and they should return it. This device does not live up to the company's expectations. I'd recommend either trying it out right after you buy it, but don't worry about getting a crappy meter if you pay a heavy price for it in the long run. And from what I've seen, this counter is clearly not worth the money. It may be an accident, but it's a failure.
