I like a good flashlight with a rechargeable lithium battery. I'm a climber and a big part of learning about minerals and rocks is that some of them fluoresce under ultraviolet (UV) 'black lights'. I wanted one of these, but not one that would eat alkaline batteries. It comes with a standard size 18650 (Page 3) Li-ion battery with a capacity of 3.7V and 2600mAh, which is decent. The flashlight has a durable aluminum construction and is water resistant. TIP: I recommend using a good quality silicone grease on the o-ring (page 5) to protect it from wear and tear from constantly unscrewing the end cap to charge the battery for swapping or separate from the flashlight. Silicone grease also gives the thread water resistance. I can charge the battery without removing it using the included charger and connector shown on page 4. Thanks to the seller for including goggles to prevent UV damage to the retina. NEVER look directly into a UV source! This has a limited range, 16 inches (40 cm) for best results, and darkness helps too. The last image is a block of fluorescent ruby set in zoisite, giving an idea of how different minerals might react. I'm glad I have this flashlight for my hobby.
