This magnet gets the job done
Once you twist the handle, my work really stays in place. My rubber mallet makes adjustment easier as the magnet is too strong for manual adjustment. This shape also works well for 1/2" wide strips. If you buy one I suggest rubbing it with spatter lube on all 4 sides. This will keep it "clean" without having to resurface the magnet square.
