Manufacturer recommends dry cleaning but I hand washed it with wool detergent on arrival and it's great. I have a camel colored scarf. It is beautiful and with a fine texture. It's soft around my neck; There is no prickly wool in this scarf. It feels luxurious - almost too luxurious for those of us who cling to the masculine gender. My wife can take it from me. It's September in Georgia so I can't say exactly how warm it will be, but it's definitely warm despite the light. My only reservation about the scarf is that there doesn't seem to be any sewn ends on the sides. I'm afraid it will tear over time.
