The hub does not allow data transfer, although the description indicates that it has a high transfer rate. I connected it to my laptop and then to my phone. Within 10 seconds my broadcast was disabled and I received a hub notification. Tried several times but without success. When I had to take a correspondence course that required a USB headset, this was a problem because, like many modern devices, my Surface laptop only has a USB port and I use it for my Rollermouse (come on, judge for yourself - I'll wait). I took a chance on this hub because it was cheap, promised to solve my problems and I could get it the next day. I'm glad I did. It worked great with no adjustments or performance lags required. I definitely recommend this if you have such a need.

It works like a charm. FINALLY I can connect all my devices in one place and use only one USB port on my company laptop (we only have one port available so I had to constantly plug and unplug devices all day). This solved my problem and works great. ! I can even disable a specific port if I want - each of the 4 slots has its own on/off switch. I recommend this product!

Make sure you have a USB charger to use and plug in your memory cards BEFORE you turn on your computer or laptop. After that, turn off your computer and then disconnect this product. Also, do not use more than 2 memory cards at the same time.

Pros: I love the flexibility of the laptop to expand USB ports, the USB 3.0 support, the ease of use and the ease of connecting and using your devices. Cons: When used on a desktop PC, the main USB cable is very short and needs to be placed near or on top of the desktop PC.
