When I plug in the adapter as shown, all my USB ports are reversed, which doesn't really matter unless, like in my case, the reading light doesn't shine in the opposite direction. shines on the floor, not on the table. I liked the fact that it will replace the one I paid about $60 for at Best Buy. The thing is easy to pack, the color is close to the space gray of the Macbook Pro. At first I thought it wouldn't work so make sure you push it all the way in and it has a blue LED meaning it's plugged in.

I thought the product would be great. First, it won't work if your laptop has some kind of case. It really needs to be pressed fully against the laptop to work. Second, if you ever put your laptop on your knees, you should avoid hitting the USB hub from the side. (I sit in a lounge chair most of the day, so I struggle with that.)
