This mount is more expensive than usual, but in the months I've been using it it has proven reliable. I received it with a Delkin suction cup windshield mount. I chose this because I needed a phone mount that I could detach and insert my phone with the pull of the handle rather than sliding it into the spring-loaded mount. The latter is what broke my previous suction cup mount from stress over time. This item is made of metal. aluminum maybe? Whatever it is, it could probably fall. I like that there is a cold mount when I want to put it on a tripod and use an external light or microphone with it. But I don't use it for that. This is the tension button. For reference, my phone is an iPhone 8 Plus with a mirror rubber case. So like I said, it's great. Works well, hasn't jammed, rusted or anything like that.
