Adjust the base unit setting until these items are set correctly. 5) Permanently install the base unit, check again. 6) Train your dog. The physical design of the base is junk plastic with the power supply, circuit board and antenna. That. I think it's fine if you install it and never touch it again (like in my case), but if you plan on using it on the go (as advertised) I'd think it's a bit cheap.
