The rating is based only on the quality and design of the product I received. The lamps felt good and appear to be made from high quality products. I can't comment on the use/function of the headlights because I couldn't install the headlights on my car (Maxima 2007). This is not a plug and play product for this car. The connectors don't match up and even trying to use the universal adapter that came with it I couldn't get the light to work. Connecting directly to the battery allowed me to turn on the light, it's very white and bright and the fan isn't noisy at all. Customer service was more than happy to help with any questions with a 24/48 hour return time. Unfortunately, I had to remove the entire front of the car to change the bulbs, meaning I didn't have the luxury of waiting for an answer and had to reassemble the car to go to work. If I had a website with installation information that would be great.
