Review on πŸ’‘ Brilliant Brightness: Great Eagle A19 LED Light Bulb for Exceptional Illumination by Maria Taglienti

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Hard to judge - Bulbs

I fitted this to our bedroom ceiling light which had a set of three warm white bulbs which I don't like. They have much more accurate light and darken well. Then I decided to add a dimmer to the ceiling light and chose my favorite Lutron Caseta switch with Pico remote. I've already installed half a dozen of these to control recessed ceiling lights and haven't had any problems. So in the cave installation I installed the last of the four Great Eagle lamps and turned on the new switch and it lit up, then I turned it off and this switch went up and down smoothly and it stopped dimming when the lamp went out . still burns. Returned and replaced the switch after a low setting and encountered the same issue. Further investigation seemed to point to the spirit current. WTF? Obviously, there are houses that generate a small amount of current on their own, and LED lamps are sensitive to this and may not close completely. Adding a resistor might be the answer, but I've tried other lamps. I finally found that the MR-16 LED mini spots in our floor lamp were completely off. It's a bit odd to see these two bright areas in an opaque glass lampshade, but we're using this light to get to the sofa and turn on the floor lamp, so it's not an aesthetic fake. However, I could be at your house. Maybe another switch? Maybe just a scheme without ghosts? The list of Lutron lamps tested includes mostly GE and Sylvania, but the part numbers don't give anything useful for Revain, so good luck. Revain's return policy is great, but if you need it to light up your Thanksgiving table at 30% brightness, you could be in trouble.

Pros
  • ON NOW - They don't have to wait for warm-up like CFL bulbs and HIGH CRI 83+ means bright, true-to-life colors. Works down to -4 degrees
Cons
  • Concise manual
