These bulbs seem to be very good, no start lag and no flickering (I use them without the dimmer). The only thing that surprised me was the brightness, which is lower than I expected from a 60w lamp. I replaced two 30w daylight fluorescent bulbs (60w total) with 3 new LED bulbs (equivalent to 180w total) and found that the light intensity was lower than before. These A19 bulbs have the typical screw base we all grew up with, but draw far fewer 'Watts' of AC power than regular bulbs. The Great Eagle answered my prayers with a 100 watt lightbulb (this model) no bigger than an incandescent bulb! Perfect for ceiling fan lights and works well with my (old) dimmer switch (remember there are LED dimmer switches that work better with LED bulbs). I fitted this to our bedroom ceiling light which had a set of three warm white bulbs which I don't like. They have much more accurate light and darken well. Then I decided to add a dimmer to the ceiling light and chose my favorite Lutron Caseta switch with Pico remote.
