The idea of getting them is to keep the astigmatism correction of my glasses for distance but increase the focal length slightly to be useful for things like reading music when I sing or play. The optical quality is excellent and they are easy to attach. They work well for their intended purpose. The only downside, which is probably inevitable, is that they're obnoxious geeks (geeks aren't inherently bad). By the way, a diopter correction is enough (at least for me) for music or computer work, although my glasses with 1.5 diopter correction (rather the industry standard) also work well.
