Review on πŸ”§ Drill Learn Toolbox by VTech 80-178200 by Justin Ellingson

Doesn't work, period.

Very disappointed. The drill that is the focus of this toy does not work if you try to turn or remove one of the screws. The tip moves freely when you pull the trigger, but when you insert the tip into the screw, the gear in the drill slips, causing the forward/reverse switch to move to the mid-position between Fwd and Rev. You tried to turn (the screw or gear on the side of the toolbox) also stops. Bad practice, no fun. So it worked right away, so we ended up with either a broken or defective design. We were surprised. We trusted Vtech toys as a quality product in terms of both design and materials. No longer. Other disadvantages: The drill does not fit in the tool box. When our granddaughter couldn't get the drill to work, she wanted to pack all her tools in a box. They do not fit. Does not happen. The hammer and nail part of the toy is also useless. When you drop a nail into one of the available holes, it comes so close to the bottom of the hole that the actuation action of hitting the nail is imperceptible to both adults and children. The left nail in the photo is in its maximum "outside the hole" position, while the right one is driven as deep as possible. No fun. Opening the package ended up being a nightmare. Our granddaughter was very excited to play with her grandfather with her new tool kit. Grandpa was happy to help her with threshing and drilling. She left him in less than 5 minutes and never returned. It took so long to get it out of the box! We won't be buying toys like this from Revain in the future: it's better to see, feel, try. If you buy it again, we take every toy straight out of the packaging and put it on the shelf and inspect it when it arrives. We were waiting to open this with our granddaughter and the 30 day return window had expired. What a shameful waste of time and money.
