Engine code P0341 would originally appear in cold weather (37F or below). The engine went into "idle mode", which gradually reduced engine power and fuel consumption. I would delete the code just to have it back in cold weather. This led me to the conclusion that the sensor is defective. After replacing the sensor everything works fine and there were no more problems. Here are the steps I took to replace the sensor: 1. Disconnect the battery. 2. Remove the air filter housing and air intake hose. Remove the EGR valve (it doesn't hurt to clean this part with a throttle body/air intake cleaner)4. The camshaft position sensor (shown in red) is located just behind the EGR (shown in yellow).5. After switching, do the steps in reverse order. Clear the code before starting the engine.
