Lightweight Folding Readers

When I took one of my children for an eye exam, the optometrist said he would see me somewhere between 40 and 45 when I needed reading glasses. Because everyone does it. Getting older sure sucks. But with these glasses, it's a little bit worse. They come in a nice leather coated hard case and a large cleaning cloth. I've only seen compact glasses with telescopic temples and creases down the middle. They fold in the middle, halfway to the earcup, and the entire earcup folds up and fits against the lens barrel. The entire frame is made of lightweight, flexible plastic. Which is good because they were a bit tight. (You can easily bend them by heating them with hot water or a hair dryer. Just don't bend them too much or at the hinges or they'll break.) They don't have a separate nose; it is all one piece with frame. It seems to go well with the bridge of the nose; I usually can't wear this style because my sinuses are too sensitive and they hurt my face. They sit next to my nasal passages and don't press in the wrong places. The lenses appear clear and do not reflect my eyeballs. I hate it when glasses do that. They're also light enough that I can keep them on my nose and peek over; granny style. Because sometimes you can't just sit at the computer or read. Sometimes you also have to interact with people who are on the other side of the room; and sometimes you want them to be more than a blur! The case fits them well and is big enough that you don't have to fiddle with it for them to go in at an angle for it to close. It's quite a thick case; almost as big as my computer mouse. You can't put it in the front pockets of women's jeans! You can't go wrong with the price. I saw a suitcase and a large cloth sold separately for the same price. They are perfect for your handbag, (large) pocket or when travelling. Keep an extra pair in the glove compartment!
