I've been using these recently in place of the cheap foam applicators that come with most name brand wax products. Foam products don't last long and usually result in uneven application, especially with liquid wax in my experience. These microfiber pads work well with wax and are much easier to wash for next use. I can use one pad to cover my car for a whole season. (Where I live, it's usually too cold to grow from December to March.) Besides the good performance, the price is pretty low. Even if you throw it away after a few uses, it's still an inexpensive product.
