While not a serious hiking backpack, it's a really good beach daypack for a couple. In one sleeve I put a cold bottle of wine with an ice pack, two tall, narrow bottles of Smart cold water (bought for the shape, not the ingredients) in the other sleeve, and a couple of flexible ice packs, crackers wrapped along with the wine by you place a bucket of hummus, a block of cheese, and a small container of olives on the bottom shelf with two small ice packs. Everything stayed cold and the cutting board and utensils worked well. Walked 1/2 mile to/from the beach with a backpack, with a folding chair on one shoulder and a Tommy Bahama umbrella in a tote bag on the other shoulder. The backpack was the most convenient to carry and easy to lean against the umbrella when in the ground.
