I bought this for a completely different reason - as a ski glove leash. For various reasons I always take my gloves off when I'm on the slopes or on the chairlift and these straps keep the gloves on the wrists nicely. I attached one end to either the retention loop on the glove or the cuff adjuster cord on the glove. They are long enough to be worn around the wrist when removing or putting on the gloves. This saves a lot of time when you want to pull out your phone to take a picture on the slope without fear of losing your gloves under your chair. I know a thin thread is meant to be threaded through a camera or flash drive mount, but the only improvement for my application would be a thicker loop at the end so I don't have to worry about it breaking over time. Not worried in the short term but will check for wear in the future. It's nice not to strain so hard while holding the glove, except when the loose glove gets caught on something. A dangling glove is the only problem you have to worry about.
