Figured out low flow issues

So I’m on my second faucet and decided to troubleshoot. This required a bit of tear down but nothing extravagant so if you have a small Allen wrench, crescent wrench and a pick you can do it as well.First thing! Shut off the hot and cold valves under sink if you have them, otherwise ensure all water is off to faucet before starting.Under the cap with the red/blue colors on it there is a set screw you can use to remove the handle. Once you get the handle off then pop the little rounded spacer off. Using the crescent wrench unscrew the cover and remove the blue cartridge. On the bottom of this there is a port with a screen, check this for cleanliness. If it is packed full then this may be your issue, clean and reverse steps to reassemble. If you want to be sure before reassembling then do this step as well, it is what fixed mine. Inside the faucet base, below where the blue cartridge sat there will be 3 holes, 2 open ones and 1 with a colored plastic piece. In this plastic piece there is a small rubber o-ring that you’ll use your pick to remove. This is a flow restrictor and on mine it was torn blocking flow. Once I removed this my flow was very good, and I actually had to reduce how much I opened the valve. Reassemble faucet by reversing the steps and enjoy.I hope this helps everyone, now that this issue is fixed I enjoy my faucet much more than before.

Pros
  • Replaced faucet in master bedroom. Absolutely love them.
Cons
  • The lead-free material may not be as durable as other options on the market
