Whatever glue or epoxy was used to attach the magnet, they are fragile. After attaching the mount to my bench and removing it once, the magnet fell out and remained attached to the bench. I reattached it with a liberal application of contact cement and I expect it to hold up fairly well. Otherwise it's a solid holder. Sturdy construction, fairly thick steel hook, BIG magnetic force - you're not going to accidentally knock this thing over or bend it with a careless tug or blow.
