Review on Desoldering Vacuum Large Teflon Antistatic by Sean Young
I like to use this in place of a braid.
1. Take one hand and melt the solder with the other.2. Cock the pump mechanism by pressing down on the table with a hand without a soldering iron3. Put this on top of the melted solder while the iron is still there (tip doesn't even melt at 650F) and vacuum, it takes me three times 80% of the time to clean the through hole. This method makes desoldering quick. The construction of this pump is solid and I have personally used it a few times.
