I bought these water shoes to use in a therapy pool where I spend about 2 hours, 5 days a week performing a number of exercises including a lot of walking. I bought these water shoes because they had a rubber sole. I wanted to make sure I had good traction in the pool. The soles are thick so they also provide comfort while walking in the pool. I have a wide foot so I was a little leery about how they might fit, but they fit fine and are comfortable. I did buy the same size as my street and athetotic shoes that I wear. I like these water shoes enough that I am ordering another pair so when they eventually wear out I will have a pair of water shoes that I know will function to my satisfaction and I know they will fit.
