I love these mugs! A small note: all the edges of the mug I bought (I have two 😋) appear to have been sanded down to the handle holes. The finger holes are most likely the largest contact point between skin and wood. To me, this means that the fact that my finger holes weren't ground was a bug or issue that needed to be fixed. Out of the box, both cups felt a bit sharp and unwieldy. But unlike ceramic or steel / plastic. The solution was simple! 😍Solution: Just a few minutes of hand sanding the parts with fine sandpaper and then applying oil to the sanded areas did the job perfectly. It's a pity that I didn't make a before/after selection 🤦♂️My photo may not help the buyer much, but perhaps the lazy or detail-oriented eye will notice the grinding around the finger holes. Overall I am very happy with these mugs. I enjoyed the time spent grinding the mug as I got more involved with the craftsmanship. A wooden mug needs more maintenance with regular use than other mugs made of steel/plastic/etc., but the feel and the design are far superior to me. I love wooden utensils and kitchen utensils so the maintenance aspect is not that important. If the internet and amazon.com are still around in a few years, I will update this review.
