Sturdy, few defects, adaptable

Cons: - A little thin on one side, not dangerous but not uniform. - A few sharp edges - The wood is greedy. I don't mean tea. He needed some oil straight out of the box. (Not necessarily bad) - It's a little smaller than you think. Pros: - I was thirsty in the forest. This gave me the freedom to finish as oil and food safe as I wanted. He is durable. I settled on a potato after unpacking and burned it darker with a torch. (Despite special warnings to avoid extreme heat.) He persevered, although

With a little bit of sanding I made my mug perfect!

I love these mugs! A small note: all the edges of the mug I bought (I have two 😋) appear to have been sanded down to the handle holes. The finger holes are most likely the largest contact point between skin and wood. To me, this means that the fact that my finger holes weren't ground was a bug or issue that needed to be fixed. Out of the box, both cups felt a bit sharp and unwieldy. But unlike ceramic or steel / plastic. The solution was simple! 😍Solution: Just a few minutes of hand sanding…

Well made mugs but MUCH smaller than advertised capacity.

I have both sizes of mugs and overall they are pretty good. They certainly have a rustic appeal, but the big issue is their capacity. The 12-ounce model barely holds 8.5 ounces of room-temperature water without the risk of spilling, while the 8-ounce mug is rated at around 6.7 ounces. But if you fill those cups to that level, be prepared to spill some of that liquid on yourself. I don't think the problem is the capacity, but the claim that the large model is the 12 ounce model.
