(see why I put a star at the end) This is my first monitor I've bought, before that I used improvised means. After receiving an update at work, I knew it was time for an upgrade. I am using this monitor with a Lenovo W540 via HDMI to Mini DisplayPort as a general use monitor. I am very satisfied and for CAD work it exceeds my expectations but as a gaming monitor it is about what you would expect at this price point, good resolution but a bit slow/blurry. It also tends to stutter in some menus, but that seems to go away once the game starts (for the most part), as far as build quality goes, I'm quite happy with the matte metal plastic around the edges and thin bezels. It looks great and feels sturdy enough to have on my desk. I also like how the cables are connected straight back. So overall I would say this is a great monitor for the price BUT (which is why I deducted a star) I have one small complaint. The plug is a transformer plug. So you have a large box on the plug that takes up valuable space on the power strip. It's not the end of the world, but I wish it were different.
