Review on πŸ”Œ High-performance Bipolar Extruder Stepper Motor 17HS4023 by Usongshine by Jesus Baker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazingly cheap engine. Highly recommended

Update: I've had this motor and extruder for a long time and haven't had any problems. It works amazingly well and has enough power to push the filament through. I've always wanted to use a BMG style extruder, but I needed a Slim motor to use it. After trying the TwoTrees magnetic flexplate, I found that their quality is pretty good compared to other manufacturers, so I went with their BMG extruder and this slim-style pancake motor. I was worried about enough motor power but it works great with their BmG extruder. The installation instructions were very simple, but installing the motor is relatively easy. After verifying that the motor schematic and the schematic on the board I'm using matched, I proceeded to wire everything up. I was lucky not to have to change the orientation of the pins, but some users may need to change them to get the motor turning in the correct direction. Following the instructions and having everything assembled, I began my series of calibration tests. . With everything done, I've been able to make some fantastic prints over the past few weeks. This motor and its extruder work beautifully and I will update this review if anything changes in the future.

Pros
  • High Torque: Adopting high quality motor steel material, with 13Ncm (18.4oz.) high torque, low self-inductance reactance, fast responsive and can avoid system failure.
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
