Well made, good value for money, works with glasses. If changed (how to)

General impression I just received it and am happy with this purchase. I am a tall male of English descent with a prominent (i.e. "big") nose; I also wear glasses. This mask fits me well and stretches to cover my face from the bridge of my nose to the point where my chin meets my neck (yes I'm happy to report I still have a slight chin /have neck demarcation in my face). older age). The mask, when fully open, is taller than it is wide, which fits me well. Drawcords ensure a secure and comfortable fit. The fabric is of good quality, very soft and comfortable and allows for adequate air circulation. Goggle Fogging Solution Now, my protruding Schnozzola was creating a small air gap at the top of the mask, causing my goggles to fog up. Luckily I was able to implement a simple solution. I ended up with 1/8 inch soft aluminum rebar commonly used to make clay molds. I cut this wire to 5.5 inches which is almost the width of the mask. Then I used an awl to poke a hole in one end of the trim strip at the top of the mask and inserted the wire by pushing it across the full width of the mask inside the fairing (see picture). I then bent the wire in the mask to fit my nose and cheeks and now there is NO FOG. It is not even necessary to sew or glue the wire. It sits nicely in a small trim strip. And easy to remove when it's time to wash the mask. You can find a spool of rebar here at Revain or at any art and hobby store for under $10. The 1/8 inch diameter wire had the perfect balance of ductility and stiffness for this purpose. A NOTICE. I considered buying some flat aluminum self-adhesive strips to use for this, but I'm glad I skipped and used rebar. instead of wire. I think the aluminum strips might be too wide to fit in the fairing and I can't imagine the glue would hold too well if applied on the outside while the 1/8 inch wire is accurate had the right shape. and size. Summary So, half a star for having to find a home-made fix for the nose strip/fog problem, and another half star for having to buy 48 of these things at once (I mean, why don't they sell by five) . for $15 or ten for $20?). However, at less than a dollar a mask, this is excellent value for money. and for me, tree-hugging, plastic-hating, money-stingy reusables are preferable to disposables. Luckily, now that I have so many spare masks, I can passive-aggressively distribute them to those homegrown terrorists, brave freedom fighters I see in public places without them. Hope this helps you with your decision. Good to hold!
