Many reviewers complained that this collar came off too easily. I noticed that every time the collar is opened it resets to the lightest pull which is pretty easy to open. Each time the collar is reattached it should be adjusted to the desired thickness with a small plastic screw handle using a fingernail or similar. the strongest setting. My 7.5 lb cat does fine on the lowest settings and I'm glad I can make her stronger as she gets that much bigger. I think this collar is one of the best breakaway collars you can buy as you never know exactly how much breakaway force your cat is going to need. So it's best to have three options in one collar. In addition, it has very good reflective properties and the kitten's little bell doesn't bother much :)
