I had no idea if these treads were really going to work. OMG - all you do is peel off the back film and set the treads on your stair treads. That is IT. No fussy, sticky installation. I have no idea what this material is on the back but it is truly a Godsend. I've got 2 dogs; one flies from window to window watching "chippies" outside. She barely touches the 5 stairs leading from the livingroom to the kitchen area. We needed to protect our stairs. Our other pup is older and has trouble with his back legs - these treads not only protect the stairs, they also provide solid support for our older pup to feel more secure when walking up/down the stairs. Have already highly recommended them to my bestie! LOVE THEM!
