For the price I bought this was a great product. It is well balanced, I now have a Nikon 70-300 lens + teleconverter + Nikon Sony adapter attached to my Sony camera. With this weight, I have no problem tilting the camera and lens up or down at an angle (after balancing) and leaving them there. The only point I have to make is that the basic panning is harsh and not smooth. There are several videos on YouTube about changing the lubricant. My tripod can already swivel so I can use it on the gimbal. Also, I paid less than $100 for it while I see gimbals selling for over $300 and reviews complain about stiff components or arcuate plates that don't tighten well because the screws are 3/ 8 are too short. In that sense, I'm totally satisfied and I highly recommend it, especially if it's for light/occasional use.
