This model is one of the few I have tried as it is easy to use the transparent hose provided and start the pump. Set it up and leave it alone. I first tried using a garden hose with a pump and draining it down the sink, but that didn't work. After a power failure, it recovers itself, including the pumping function. The Honeywell model I bought from Sylvane was easy to use even with a pump and clear tubing, but it wouldn't reset after a power outage and the pump stopped working after 2 years. The humidity you set is not entirely accurate. . If I want the humidity in the house to be 45%, I need to set the humidity to 55. But I found out and I can live with that. It's not quiet, but I can live with that. It also blows hot air from time to time, so it warms up a small space. I also bought a 70 liter (but not from Revain) and it's still working fine after 2 years and 3 months. These are good units, but not silent.
