Review on Kwikset 98880-004 SmartCode 888 Z-Wave Plus Smart Lock Touchpad Electronic Deadbolt in Satin Nickel with SmartKey Security by Lonnie Batch

The lock looks good and is easy to install. I liked being able to recode the lock to my existing house key. However, the reason we bought the smart lock was to be able to activate and deactivate multiple codes. It's actually impossible. You may have multiple codes, but you cannot delete them. If you understand the restricted instructions and can program the master code, you can overwrite the code. Allegedly. He hasn't worked for us yet. Directions are terrible. Troubleshooting information is almost non-existent. It will beep and flash colors randomly, but I have no idea what that means and can't figure it out. If that doesn't work, all you have to do is start over and perform a factory reset, which means you'll reset your smart home system's lock as well. Very frustrating. There is no additional information on the Kwikset website either. It literally says "link here" but there's no link. DO NOT LOSE THE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED as you may never find another copy. If you are not tech savvy I strongly recommend not using this lock!
