I bought this ladder to replace one that my cockatiels were chewing through. The first one that arrived was broken in half because it wasn't properly packaged. The packaging of the second was not improved. This ladder is only 3 inches wide from edge to edge compared to my other stairs which are 5-6 inches wide. It's really too small for her. Otherwise, this is a good basic ladder, but calling them "small/medium sized parrots" is just plain wrong. After 40 years of parrot breeding, I can only recommend this ladder for budgies and parrots - parrots weighing 70 grams or less (cockatiels weigh 80-100 grams). Corellas, Quakers, small kennels, etc. really need a 4 to 6 inch wide ladder.
