Better than "cheap " but not "priceless "!

Compared to cheaper options, this unit offers better performance on long runs. I've used it on 200ft and 150ft Category 6 runs and the results are "nothing extraordinary". I had acceptable 1080p on both TVs. However, there is a major problem with live sports broadcasting. Screen tearing is unbearable, especially when the device runs hotter than usual (several hours). This is particularly the case with overseas live sports broadcasts such as the Champions League or the English Premier League. Perhaps one of the readers can shed some light on this? Since there are no fans in the device, cooling is by "air convection". If you look at potential use cases for a receiver, it will likely be hidden behind a flat screen TV, most likely in a wall or frame. "Convection" will definitely not provide adequate cooling. Therefore, expect this device to work almost "by touch". I had a cheaper HDBaseT solution with fans in the units and after a couple of years the fans started catching the broadcast audio! It's great that they manage without built-in fans and with "almost sufficient" cooling. Considering these major disadvantages too expensive.
