Picture quality is good for what it is. But a microphone? Almost nonexistent. I thought I had the wrong input settings. Once I held the camera in front of my face like a stage mic, screamed really loud and then turned the volume up all the way - finally I could hear what was being recorded. It's really not very useful when you need a two-way interaction that isn't done with sign language. I'm all in for less than $5... so I guess I have a $5 camera.
