Having installed several HDMI optical cables over the years, I can say without a doubt that this is the right solution. Don't mess with CAT 6 (or CAT 5e) converters/solutions. Just grab an HDMI optical cable and don't pull too hard on the end or bend it too much (it's an optical cable, after all). I've never broken one, but be careful when walking them. Just make sure what you get has enough bandwidth and bi-directional data transfer (there are many different HDMI standards). Remember, as best you can to secure the future, when it all started, 4.95 Gbps was enough,
