It's like having a cataract

A cloudy white film is visible through it. I see better with my $20 Simmons el-cheapo mini binoculars. So disappointed with the $500 quality. I expected a lot more. Do yourself a favor and get a Leupold 2800.

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • Good but not great

A bit pricey but worth it.

My brother is jealous, I saved up for this ad, it's worth it. I guess to remedy the shortcoming I'd say the little curly cord with the plastic end doesn't hold onto the wrist strap, I guess it's mainly for fall protection but replace that decent paracord and your set. Clear and precise. Case is also very good.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Some trouble

VALUE OF THE MONEY for Laser Rangefinders

Yes you can buy cheaper devices but how well will they work? I'm glad I don't have to find out because it works great! I bought it for long range rifles and it works flawlessly out to 1000 yards. Now I can get super accurate DOPE for precision rifle shooting. One thing I've learned is that you get what you pay for when it comes to optics or electronics. I got my money's worth with this device.

Easily stretches a mile

I've been able to stretch the ledges up to 1 mile. You can't ask for much more. It was also just normal. This helps put it on a tripod, thankfully there's a screw hole for just that purpose. The display was easy to see in bright sunlight, menus and operation are as simple as can be. I can highly recommend for this money. If you're into long-range shooting or hunting, you won't be disappointed.

Pros
  • Free for educational use

Phenomenally good for optics

I mean wow first of all it's a good compact option compared to my 1 mile Bushnell bow, it's about the same near the glass but ease of use and range are phenomenal. I shot Rick with both at 1400 yards, which was the maximum distance Bushnell could reach, and the hurricane continued. I got to 3000 with no problems, which is more than I've ever shot, but it's nice to know it's safe. I tested it on my GPS and it's worth the money, it's really the last range finder I'll ever buy.

Impressive! Works as stated.

I've only had it a few hours but I'm surprised at how well this LRF works. I could watch the little barn fairly constantly in normal mode, just by leaning against the fence. This item has the same excellent quality as most Vortex products! The optics are really good (much sharper than the photos), the shape fits my hand well and is easier to hold steady, the extra modes are great in certain situations, the included case is just awesome. The only downside I can find is that the display is ok. I…

Even better than the best option for the money.

If you don't need bluetooth or cellular this is the best I've had. I bought a used Vortex Scope and called them to order no gaskets. They told me the lifetime warranty was still on even though I wasn't the first owner and sent the gaskets for free and even offered to send me a sun visor in return. I asked her about the Razor 4000 and its warranty. They said it's the same. It works great, it has a great glass, it's easy to use, saves battery life, it's rugged, it's water resistant (be aware of…

Cloudy lens, glare from backlight.

Waste of money. Super big and bulky. The optical clarity is pathetic. Looking through the lens is like looking out of a frozen bathroom window. The image is very blurry and the red highlights are terrible. Light diffusion really highlights the flaws and poor quality of the lens. Good luck in low light morning or evening. Everything you see is red, even with reduced brightness. I use vortex scopes, binoculars, spotters and have had a ranger 1500 and 1800. Too bad I didn't keep my ranger 1800…

Excellent range finder. ELR mode where it is

4 month trial: This is my third rangefinder to find one that suits my needs. I buy this for long range precision rifles and steel shooting at about 1000 yards and in, rifle and bow hunting. I've been able to set up street signs up to 1,200 yards away without assistance on several occasions. When people show range finders that measure houses to 2,000 yards that's cool and all, but I don't shoot at houses, barns or towers, so for me it's not an accurate representation of field conditions related…
