Review on ๐Ÿ”ญ Vortex Optics Razor HD 4000 Laser Rangefinder: Unmatched Precision and Clarity by Brandon Ball

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Cloudy lens, glare from backlight.

Waste of money. Super big and bulky. The optical clarity is pathetic. Looking through the lens is like looking out of a frozen bathroom window. The image is very blurry and the red highlights are terrible. Light diffusion really highlights the flaws and poor quality of the lens. Good luck in low light morning or evening. Everything you see is red, even with reduced brightness. I use vortex scopes, binoculars, spotters and have had a ranger 1500 and 1800. Too bad I didn't keep my ranger 1800. Will sell it and switch back. Also, when I removed the Velcro pocket on the front, the stitching on the binocular straps came undone. I didn't even take it to the field and it fell apart. The only advantage is that it works very well and, like all Vortex Rangers, is easy to use. However, I am very disappointed with Vortex.

Cons
  • Low repairability
