Read all instructions BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT. Hidden in the instructions is how to use half the dose for fresh water. I think it's important enough to highlight or put it first or right after the salt water dosage and not after all the other directions. I was one of those who took the recommended drops before reading that fresh water only takes half the dose. I'll update my review after seeing the results, but I'm already disappointed that the instructions aren't written more carefully. UPDATE: So, even at a higher dose than recommended, this product didn't get rid of snails. However, I haven't lost a single fish, including Molly's. Removing snails by hand/net is more efficient.
