I bought them for jewelry making and of course they get the job done in the simplest sense. but man makes these pliers suck. I just opened these little ones and noticed as soon as I unpacked them that something was wrong with the round-nosed pliers. For some reason there is excess metal at the tips of the pins which is already peeling off. Needlenose pliers don't have jagged edges, which may work for some purposes, but not for me. The teeth of the needle nose pliers aren't fully touching, which isn't very good either. I haven't actually tried wire cutters, but I'm sure they work with very thin wire, but no more. Finally, with each pair, each time the handles are closed, a certain amount of coarse grease flows out of the joint. Now that might not be such a bad thing as I assume the purpose of the lubrication is to keep the pliers working smoothly and prevent them from binding. but unfortunately each pair is still quite hard. So yes, just save your money and don't buy them.
