I took a chance ordering this because my desktop is a 1.5 inch thick meat block tabletop. The last monitor mount I had when assembling the desk didn't fit. Clamp on the table because it doesn't adjust that wide (there's no way I'm going to drill a hole in the top). With the "smallest" setup I can still clamp it to my desk - I'm sure it will clamp even something much larger since the clamp assembly has extra holes for wider adjustment. The second requirement was that I could center the monitor on the table (which is 6ft wide) but rotate it slightly to the side when clients are talking to me from across the table during tax season - mission accomplished! I assembled it in less than 15 minutes, the only tool not included is a screwdriver.
