I've really grown fond of them, despite some shortcomings. Pretty realistic. Great timer.

When I first got these GenSwin candles I didn't really like them. I've just received a set of Notimible window candles which I thought made a bigger impression on me [3. Photo: GenSwin candle on left, Notimible candle on right]. Firstly, GenSwin candles are made from, or at least coated with, real wax. Those are the pros and cons in my opinion. Real wax looks and feels good, but is easy to extrude/scratch/contaminate. At least 2 of the candles in the set of 6 had black flakes stuck in the wax. Even real wax causes slight problems when inserting candles into the holders supplied. A little more scraped the wax off, leaving an unsightly mess on the edge of the holder. They also seem to have trouble sitting "straight" in the mount. some of my curves I solved this problem by rotating the entire block so that it appears directly in the window (e.g. leaning towards or away from the glass instead of left or right). As for the GenSwin timer: MUCH better than the Notimible set. I found our TV remote was interfering with these candles and ruined the timer! But GenSwin spark plugs have a tidy remote control! HOORAY! So the candles are lit every 24 hours at the same time every night for a set period of time. I LOVE IT! The flame/light is what has grown within me the most. The Notimible set has an amber-orange glow, while the GenSwin set appears too white for a true flame effect. You can't really see the difference in my picture next to it, but when I first bought it I didn't care about the GenSwin flame. BUT. As night falls and time flies by, I have to say these GenSwins look a lot more realistic despite the cooler color of the flame. They have a slight shimmer effect (or you can change it to a constant glow with the remote control). And the first 1/2 inch of wax "glows" like a real candle. Overall I am very happy with these candles although I gave one star for the wax and crooked issues. And because of the better performance of the remote and timer, I would definitely buy a set of these GenSwin candles again, and not Notimible, although they're good too.

Cons
