So far, so good! on furniture hardware

Overall I was surprised at how well they fit and how well they work for my needs. I moved into a 2,500 square foot house that has all hardwood floors with no bathrooms. I ended up with a large formal harness that makes me a little nervous every time someone pulls out their chair. I also have two wrought iron tables and an 8 year old daughter who never understood the damage that could result from constantly putting her feet on the ottoman and moving it around. I could see the damage in my brain every time and I could feel the rush of psycho. I did some research and they seem to have the best overall ratings and a 100% lifetime guarantee. I don't know exactly how it works or if they really respect it, but I felt better getting them and I trust 3m as a company a lot more than, say, a slightly cheaper Chinese imitation. They come in a neat little plastic container for you to store the leftovers. They're mostly round, but there are also square ones and a few large slabs that we were able to cut into the shape needed for some weird furniture. While this pack doesn't cover everything I own, it definitely includes items that experience moderate to heavy movement and work very well with most standard items. If this is not the case, you can shorten them accordingly. I didn't want to buy a huge box of these if they don't work, but I can assure you they will work and hold up well with most furniture. First I wiped the legs with a damp cloth, then wiped dry, removed the backing and taped. Very easy, and each item took a few minutes to complete. It's worth it for the quiet alone. I know I don't have to worry every time I pull out a chair. They glide nice and smooth. I don't know how well they will hold up or how long they will last, and I firmly intend to replace them at some point, but it's a small price to pay. Again, they have a 100% lifetime guarantee, although maybe not.? I will try to update over time.
