As an audiophile, all my money goes into my stereo setups with tube amps, SS high current amps, phono stages, MC trucks, etc. I'm not really into home theater and need not the biggest and best and since I care less about that I've always used very average consumer devices - I don't need the latest and greatest - 5.1 suits me. My amp is just a Yamaha RX-V375 - you get the point. My center channel was a Yamaha NS-C310BL and it has always been the weakest link in my system. Even with the use of a voice amplifier, those soft and faint conversations in Dolby Digital or DTS movies were always partially unintelligible. I finally decided to upgrade to this center channel speaker after getting a big discount from Sound Distributors. Problem solved! Day and night. You can hear "everything" - even a whisper. I no longer need to use the Amp Dialog Booster. However, I would like to warn you about something - this center channel can seem a little too strong in the upper frequencies, ie. with a hiss, especially on "s". This happens with some TV shows, but if you're watching BluRay, it's not a problem. I can tune it to a TV show with the DSP sound field. Also, it can tame after breaking it a little. It really shines when watching movies with this hub, and for the money it just doesn't get any better.
