3M Filtrete Air Conditioning Filter It's no secret that the filters that come with window units aren't enough and you may want to buy a better one. Well you are in the right place! I bought it for a window panel in my bedroom. Since I also have an air purifier with spare carbon filters, I decided to upgrade this filter to a three-stage one. I tailored this filter to fit my unit, then cut out the activated carbon filter and left the original filter. Together this gives a filter of about 5 mm thickness. The other two filters give this 3M filter a longer lifespan by collecting larger particles. Together they don't interfere with airflow and help my room smell clean and allergy-free. I installed this filter on a window unit that runs 24/7 on low power mode and runs at 73° once an hour. I'll be back with an update in a few months to give a full review.
