Review on πŸ”΄ 8 Pcs RC Shocks Springs for RC Car T-Maxx and E-Maxx - Red Powder Coated, Dual Rate 3ppi Top & 7ppi Bottom - RC Car Shock Springs by Greg Horn

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent feathers. No more preload spacers! Needs updating for your T-Maxx

I've used a lot of preload spacers with stock springs to keep the A-arms parallel to the ground, but the truck still ducked and dove pretty badly and it was just the truck handling that made it terrible. Installed these springs with no preload washers and the truck was at full height with no sag! I had to move the shocks one position away from the stock so the truck doesn't sit as high and the arms stay parallel to the ground. . I also moved the top position of the shocks inwards so the suspension is a bit softer as these springs are quite stiff. I use 30w oil on all the shocks and given my very limited run time they seem to be fine. I'll see if I need to go to 45w or 50w the more runtime I have. I could also play with two stock springs and two Raven springs if I find the suspension too stiff. The feathers are well made, but I'm deducting a star because some of the feathers were missing paint at the top and bottom. I assume that's where they were hung when they were powder coated. Otherwise I am very happy with these springs.
